Thomas Haskell, educational consultant for K-12 Evaluation Solutions, a division of Zimco, Inc., joined the team in June 2011. Previously, he spent almost 24 years in the United States Marine Corps, starting out as a Private in 1970 and retiring as a Major in 1993. During his military career, he developed many occupational specialty skills and served in various leadership capacities.
Upon retiring from the Marine Corps, Tom taught two years of Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer training at a school district in Michigan. He was then hired by the same district as an administrator serving 16 years as an assistant principal for middle school and high school. Retiring in 2011, Tom's last assignment was the assistant principal for the Alternative Program where he planned and supervised an accelerated self-paced program for at-risk students who were behind in credits to graduate on time. The program successfully graduated two thirds of the attending students on time.
While in the Marine Corps, Tom received a Bachelor of Science degree in Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Troy State University at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan.
Tom was married to his wife, Becky, for 43 years until her passing in 2011 and has 5 adult children and 14 grandchildren.
